Oh, you have to drive to get a permit? I had to drive, but it’s because I needed six hours of driving with an instructor in order to get my license. For the permit, I took an online test at the DMV. Each state has different driving laws.

Let’s be thankful we aren’t in the northeast, where you have to be 17 to get a license. That’s too old haha.

It’s a bit different than that you have to get 6 hours done before you get your license. But it is legal to drive with an instructor before you get your permit so I might as well get 6 hours done before I get my permit. Also you getting to take your test online makes me envy you. lol I want that.

My driver’s education class used a Dodge Stratus. Not a terrible car to refine one’s skills on (already had the basics down, just needed “supervised hours” to get the license, and parents’ nerves were shot after doing the same for my older siblings), but it had a twitchy accelerator pedal (I blame the shared platform with the Eclipse).
